Meanwhile, Quebec's Steamed Day continues to take shape with the launch of a website that lists participating businesses and events. Restaurants, canteens, food trucks, and local initiatives can already register to announce their participation on May 6.
This aspect is likely to become increasingly important as the date approaches, especially for those looking for what to do or where to go during the day.
But in the end, whether it's to participate in the competition or simply to get involved in the movement, the idea remains the same: to take advantage of a local classic to bring people together. And there's a good chance that, this year, steamed food will become a much better excuse than usual.
